- youth & Teen Counselling (Ages 10+)

Growing up isn't always easy. You don't have to figure it out alone.

Kate provides a safe space for teens to navigate challenges, build confidence, and develop the tools to better understand themselves.

- A Space to Grow

Therapy doesn't have to feel awkward or intimidating. Kate takes a relaxed, down-to-earth approach, creating a space where teens can be themselves, talk openly, and work through challenges without fear of judgment.

- A Note to Teens

If you're reading this, chances are you're thinking about starting counselling.

You might know exactly what you'd like to work on or maybe you're still figuring that out. Maybe therapy was your parent’s idea and you’d like to know a bit about what you can expect before taking the first step. Whatever the reason, I want you to know that this is your space and I’m here for you.

My job isn't to judge you, lecture you, or tell you how to live your life. I'm here to get to know you, understand what's going on, and work with you to figure out what might help. In the counselling room, we go at your pace and we talk about the things that matter to you.

Most importantly, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through hard things alone. We can find ways to work through them together.

- For parents

Sometimes, the best way to support your teen is to give them a space of their own.

Kate understands that it can be difficult to see your teen struggling, especially when you're unsure how best to help. Counselling offers teens a space outside of their everyday relationships to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges with someone who is there to listen and support them.

Kate prioritizes building a trusting relationship with each teen, where they feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and developing greater independence. While parents and caregivers play an important role in their teen's well-being, counselling is centred on the teen's individual needs, with parental involvement considered when appropriate and in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
